President Trump called out the evil jerks who cheered for late-term abortion in New York, and it was epic. It was definitely one of my favorite parts of his speech so far, but I now have ANOTHER favorite part.
Trump dropped the s-word. SOCIALISM.
Two weeks ago, the United States officially recognized the legitimate government of Venezuela, and its new interim President, Juan Guaido.
We stand with the Venezuelan people in their noble quest for freedom — and we condemn the brutality of the Maduro regime, whose socialist policies have turned that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair.
Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country.
America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination and control.
We are BORN FREE, and we will STAY FREE.
Wait wait. Here we go:
“Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will NEVER be a socialist country.”
HECK YEAH HECK YEAH HECK YEAH. I SO wanted the camera to zoom in on AOC’s face. However, the camera did give us a good shot of Bernie, which made me chuckle. He’s not taking it well.
President Trump takes a direct shot at socialism: “Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.” Sen. Bernie Sanders is seen frowning #SOTU https://t.co/EXZ8FU2DXV pic.twitter.com/WNNYm83eGD
